Well how Rubbish am I ?

Well I finally have popped back,  not much I can say other than where does time go ?

So here is an offering on the card front and thanks to my first comment I have hopefully made the image bigger .

No card yet today !

This is just me dropping in to say I have been working on a card today that is for my mum on Mother's Day so just incase she sneaks by to peek her I shall have to save it till after the day it's self.

Anyway I will see what offering I can come up with later ........

Moving on ......

My Freind nd work colleague left today . When I say left I do not mean gone to a new job more a shuffle of work area. She will now be based else where in the county but her leaving will mean we have a huge gap that I think anyone else will struggle to fill . She is one of the best work colleagues who is not only good at her job but a bloody fab human being . Think it showed in the fact that so many gave to her collection and still bought her personal gifts.

So at the end of a long and sad week I thought I might share the card I made .

It is made using stamps from my two favourite stamp companies - the Letter box set from 'Clarity' and the Bird song set from 'Hobby Art'

If you want to see a craft / art blog worthy of awards you need to go over nd take a peek at Brbar Gray from 'Clarity' blog it's such a daily gift of creative gems and shared thought and perspective - even if stamping is not your thing and your not that bothered bout craft I personally think Barbara offers something still - she is such a marvel !

Am I late in the day or just very early ????

Another crazy day and just stopped now and thought 'blog' !!!

So I am afraid I am going to cheat and share a card I made at Christmas because the card I started has not yet been finished so I shall share that later .

These were both made using my second fav stamp company 'Hobby Art Stamps'. This stamp is their 'Norman & Friends' stamp, a very versatile stamp as I think I made at least 12 different style cards from it .

Better late than never !

Well I have had one of those days where I thought I had a plan and knew what needed to be done and how to get it done. But like these things do it went pear shaped the moment I left for work ( I find that worse than the day going wrong from the start as I had been lulled in to the false sense of security and believed  my plan was working !) 

Anyway having taken the whole evening to catch up I finally got to stop and decided to finish off a card I was making , so I will share it with you ........

It's a sympathy card using a set of delightful Poppies from Indigo blue.

I hope to upload the photo of a leaving card I made the other evening for later today ..... Here is today being better than yesterday lol!

So far not to good !

A friend said doing a blog page a day would be easy for me , well they are wrong so far !
This is only my second entry so......  as I have done so poorly I thought I would add a card I made . This is my first attempt at a box frame card ( made completely from scratch - no pre- cut card or template etc .)
I bought a rather nice sheet of gift wrap and it worked perfectly , and at 45p so much cheaper than proper crafting 'pretty paper' tends to be , I like to save money when I can to spend on stamps instead but I will save my rubber stamping obsession for another days entry !

It is a new baby card made using a lovely 'Pennyblack' stamp 

I stamped it 4 times and coloured in with pro-markers before cutting out and layering up in the recess of the box frame . A few flowers punched out with a small flower punch ( think it's one from x-cuts) and a small seed bead stuck in the centre of each .

The words were stamped out using 'The Letter Box Set' by the Rolls Royce of stamp manufacturers 'Clarity'. 

Barbara Grey who is one of my craft idols is the person behind Clarity and she is an inspiration - my Clarity stamp collection is relatively small but growing. 

Well enough prattle from me today but I will try hard to make it back tomorrow !

Let's start with an Acorn and watch if it grows ....

So this is my first ever blog and so I am not really sure what to start with. I do occasionally brows others blogs but I am not a big social media user ( well I guess I am a bit addicted to Pinterest if that counts ???) 
So why do a blog ? Well why not , I wanted to try and share some of my card making efforts and thought this might be a way to start. I love making things and can not remember a time when paper and pens have not been my best friends . Now I love making things but it does not mean I am any good so I usually don't show off my work. 
I do send cards I make but I always feel really self conscious and feel they are not worthy of the comments I sometimes get.
So the plan is to try to put some of my creations on here as I hope to,get some feed back on which to grow and develop.
I also made a new year plan to keep a diary / journal and so far that's not gone well so may be a blog will let me combine the two ?
Well that's the little acorn planted and let's see if I can grow a mighty oak lol!
